We
are happy to announce that we have donated another awesome puppy to the Indiana Canine Assistant Network
(www.ICANdog.org). This puppy is a cream colored North
American Retriever (part Labradoodle/part Goldendoodle) who was born
11/19/09. The photo shows him with one of his service dog
'mentors', Biscuit. We look forward to watching this boy progress through
his training over the next 18 months, and know he'll make an outstanding
service dog.

 Watch
for Willie in an upcoming Vera Bradley catalog! Willie lives with
his forever family in Florida and traveled to Savannah, GA on February
10, 2009 for his photo shoot with Vera Bradley.
We know Willie will be an adorable
model!

 We're
proud to have one of our puppies represent the Labradoodle breed in one
of the many recent Labradoodle vs Portuguese Water Dog news
segments. Ginger lives with her forever family in the Chicago area, and appeared live on
the Fox News morning show on January 13, 2008. She did a
great job, appearing laid-back and carefree despite her age, the studio
setting, and the strangers around her. (The handler
thought the PWD was calmer, but didn't mention the age difference - the
PWD was 4 years old and Ginger was 8 months old.)

 We're
thrilled to announce that two of our photos have been selected to be
featured in IDOG's 2009 Labradoodle & Goldendoodle calendars.
Hope has been selected to be the 'cover girl' for the L & G Rescue
Calendar, and is also "Miss June". Angel has been
selected to be "Miss February" in the Labradoodles &
Goldendoodles calendar. In addition, Summer (featured
in May) is a doodle who was born here at Cedar Hill and lives in
the Chicago area with her forever family. IDOG is a registered non-profit organization,
and all proceeds from calendar sales go towards
helping doodles in need. Visit IDOG.biz
to order your calendar!

 Congratulations
to Summer and her mom, who have been competing in agility trials.
Summer earned her Novice Versatility Award in June, 2008. You can see
some video clips of Summer competing here:

Cedar Hill has started a new program to
help raise funds for the International Doodle
Owner's Group (IDOG)
rescue program, which helps lost or abandoned Labradoodles and
Goldendoodles find loving homes.
We call it our "Lucky
Puppy Program". Now and then we'll select one of
our available puppies to be part of the program. Once a family is approved to add that puppy
to their home, they will make a tax deductible donation to IDOG,
and we will reduce the price of
their puppy by the amount donated. Read more
about it here.

Tune in to 'puppy cam'
and watch our puppies grow! In 2007 we installed a closed circuit camera system
which allows us to monitor our expectant mothers and newborn litters
24/7 without disturbing them. It has been interesting to see the
way the mothers interact with their puppies when no humans are
around! As a by-product of our camera system, we are able to
broadcast live
streaming video
from our nursery. Puppy cam has been a big hit, and we hope everyone will enjoy it again this
year.

Is
your dog a Cedar Hill puppy? We're creating an 'alumni wall'
right outside our nursery with photos of our previous puppies, all grown up. Our visitors enjoy
comparing their own puppy to the photos of his/her relatives they find
on the wall.
Email us your favorite photos and we'll pick
one, print and frame it, and add it to our alumni wall. Larger
sized photos (more pixels) work best since we're printing in 8x10 size.

 We'd
like to congratulate Bob, who was selected to be "Mr. August"
in the 2008 "Celebration of Labradoodles and Goldendoodles"
calendar published by the International Doodle Owner's
Group.
Bob lives in New Jersey and his 'bottom's up'
calendar photo is one of our favorites! All proceeds from the calendar
sales went to the not-for-profit IDOG rescue program - the one that rescued Hope!

Briar Rose has
been working hard, practicing and competing in agility, and has
accumulated many ribbons. Who looks more proud - Briar or
her dad? What an awesome team~! |
 Cedar
Hill is exceptionally proud of Flynn, a beautiful red F1, who we donated to the Indiana Canine Assistant Network (www.ICANdog.org).
After Flynn completed rigorous
training he was placed with a young girl with developmental difficulties.

 Zoey
helped her dad hunt pheasants last fall. She did a good job of staying within gun range and flushing the
birds, and on the hunt shown here she flushed 9 out of 11 birds. Both
Zoey and her dad look pretty happy with the results.
