News and Accomplishments

Tune in to  'puppy cam' and watch our puppies grow!  Our closed circuit camera system broadcasts live streaming video from our nursery.   Puppy cam was a big hit last fall, and we hope everyone will enjoy it again this year.
Is your dog a Cedar Hill puppy?  We're creating an 'alumni wall' right outside our nursery with photos of our previous puppies, all grown up. Our visitors enjoy comparing their own puppy to the photos of his/her relatives they find on the wall.

Email us your favorite photos and we'll pick one, print and frame it, and add it to our alumni wall.  Larger sized photos (more pixels) work best since we're printing in 8x10 size.

We're proud to announce the addition of "Angel of Jade's" to our breeding program.  Angel is a fully tested F1 from Blazing Star Kennel in Canada, and is the first dog to be added to our program since we started.  Angel's sweet personality and beautiful blondness make her a super match for our red Poodle, Razz.  We're looking forward to a litter of red F1b puppies from them this summer (2008).  Photo courtesy of Blazing Star.

We'd like to congratulate Bob, who was selected to be "Mr. August" in the 2008 "Celebration of Labradoodles and Goldendoodles" calendar published by the International Doodle Owner's Group.

Bob lives in New Jersey and his 'bottom's up' calendar photo is one of our favorites! All proceeds from the calendar sales went to the not-for-profit IDOG rescue program - the one that rescued Hope

Frisco and Henry celebrated their first birthday with a special day - including a hike, gifts, and individual birthday cakes followed by a dessert of pig ears.  The cakes were made of carob (chocolate can be toxic to dogs!)  These two boys have their own blog, Doodles Squared - check it out!
Congratulations to Charlie, who got a perfect score on his obedience class final exam! The teacher said it is very hard to score perfectly.  Way to go Charlie!

Briar Rose has been working hard, practicing and competing  in agility, and has accumulated many ribbons.  Who looks more proud -  Briar or her dad?  What an awesome team~!
Cedar Hill is exceptionally proud of Flynn, a beautiful red F1, who we donated to the Indiana Canine Assistant Network (www.ICANdog.org).   Flynn will become a service dog, if he passes all the rigorous training that will be required in the next year.  The founder of ICAN, Dr. Sally Irvin, visited us and evaluated Flynn for his suitability as a service dog.  After having Flynn in the ICAN program for two weeks, Dr. Irvin sent us this report:
"I have never seen a dog just naturally handle: walking easily -- no pulling, picking up commands in record time, demonstrating exceptional house manners, great rider in car, has already gone to 4 restaurants, three shopping malls and will start agility training tonight!  He is magnificent..... possibly the most exceptional pup we have seen!"
Zoey helped her dad hunt pheasants last fall.  She did a good job of staying within gun range and flushing the birds, and on the hunt shown here she flushed 9 out of 11 birds. Both Zoey and her dad look pretty happy with the results.
